Mushoku no kori
Nov. 30th, 2010 10:18 amIt's lovely, this cold. The sunlight causes the snow to come alive in little glittering dots, and the icicles seem to glow from the inside like countless slender lightbulbs.
Winter gets such a bad rep, but it is my absolute favorite time. The air is clean, pure, delicious. It's a comforting feeling, to be in a warm room, baking sweet things, looking out into the bright chill. I love the sensation of being wrapped in warm clothes, topped with a big coat and scarf, and stepping out into the freezing outdoors. The contrast in temperatures is so pleasant.
What a wonderful thing winter is! A constant combination of hot and cold, hot and cold; it's invigorating, energizing.
I love the kori, tsurara, yuki--I love the fuyu.
